Thanks Pinterest friends that repinned this little photography tidbit. I am very, very amateur when it comes to knowing how my camera operates. But I figured this out and made some cute pictures. Not very original, I know - but I think they are sweet. I wish my Mac was still alive and that I still had Photoshop. These would have been fun to play with.

Giving Thanks
Oh so behind... again! I feel like Halloween was so very long ago. And I guess it kind of was. For the last couple of days I've been meaning to post... SOMETHING. Then when I finally sit down to do it - I draw a total blank. So how about I just upload a couple dozen pictures and let that do the talking? (Or part of it anyway)
And now for my Thanksgiving-time update. We got to go to Utah for a couple of days! I was sooo excited to go! And it was a great trip. All of Greg's fam was there. (Minus Elder Bobo, of course) It was seriously SO much fun. There were a lot of kids and babies in that house... all of the married kids' families are growing rapidly. Let's see, between all the families there were 20 people staying in that house! Oh, wait, 22 - Grandma Lorraine and Greg's cousin Vanessa stayed their most of the time too. And all 9 kiddos under the age of 8... Quiet? Who needs it? I guess it's a good thing Gary and Rox's house is big. The kids all got along so great this trip! It's so nice now that the ones that were the little-littles, are a bit older and can play (mostly) unsupervised. I wasn't totally off the mommy-hook though - Jack can go up stairs, but not down. I didn't have to worry about him straying too far away from me though. The poor little man was sick and miserable the ENTIRE trip. Ugh! He demanded that I hold him 99% of the time...
Ok, now for some pictures:
And now... introducing little miss Sophie. She is a living/breathing doll! I can't believe it took us so long to finally get to meet this sweet baby girl in person! She is the most content-happy-cuddly-soft baby I have ever met. I think I heard her cry maybe 1 time the entire trip. Carinn, you are one lucky momma!

Later that day...
And now, the Thanksgiving feast!
And then no more pictures for a while because I was busy stuffing my face. And it was delish!!

All the little children...
Ever successfully taken a picture of 2 kids, 3 toddlers, 2 toddler-babies, and 2 baby-babies, where they are all looking at the camera AND smiling? If so - you must tell me your secret... This was mission impossible. Though we came pretty close...
That's little Conner-man that Amelia is holding. I am sad that I didn't get any close-ups of him. He is a sweet little guy. Very alert! And does he ever love his mama - but I got him to smile for me once or twice.
Kourtney wanted to be held in this one.
Yeah... everyone is about smiled out by now...
And that concludes the Utah pictures that I have. I know my sisters in law took more. I need to get my hands on them! I wish it was easier for all of us to get together. Aimee had a BLAST playing with her cousins. Well, until next year... or hopefully this summer! A year is just too long... Love and miss you guys!
Me and little man. He was being especially affectionate this evening. Lots of slobbery open-mouthed baby kisses. (This is the only time he is ever allowed to kiss a girl like that)
And Little Miss Aimee. Perhaps a career as an architect is in her future? She builds some pretty impressive block towers. |
A rare but wonderful moment...
The grinniest-grin...

Ok, now for some pictures:
Neal and Amelia playing in the leaves. Amelia decided that we need a big pile of leaves to jump in. Gary and Rox are on top of their yard work, so there weren't a ton of leaves to rake. But don't worry... their neighbors had plenty!
Bree inspecting her nose... and the growing pile of leaves.
Sad man. Notice the gigantic goose-egg on his head. He totally face-planted on the cement. :(
Amelia and her cousin Kourtney.
More sadness...
Adorable Kourtney
Oh Amelia...
We made the kids line up before they were allowed to dive into the mega-leaf pile. Can you feel the anticipation?
Hmm... it seemed bigger in real life. (Note Greg keeping the kids back with the rake handle)
Leeeeeaves!!
Oh how I wish my Mac wasn't dead... these would have been fun to play around with in photoshop...
Neal is a handsome little guy...
Round 2!

Roxanne has been building a collection of dress-up clothes in the kids play-room. The girls were in heaven. They wore these dresses all day. Every day. They LOVED them. Those, and the shoes, purses, wands...
Uncle Eric played some tunes for the kids to dance to. Jack was enthralled.
Later that day...
Greg hiding out at Beep and Michael's (their living room kind of turned into man-cave during the trip) with Jack. Can you see how pink Jack's cheeks are? He was burning up. Notice the bottle of baby Tylenol in his hand...
Part of the spread...
Girl's table. Yup, Aimee and Addison are still wearing dress up clothes.
Before all the guests arrived...
Uncle Dean and the Magic Touch
Uncle Dean has the magic touch when it comes to putting babies to sleep. It really works, like every time. Give him a fussy baby and he will have that baby out in a matter of minutes. Greg adopted this move with our own children. It works very well, up until your baby reaches a certain weight/length. Unless you're like Uncle Dean, who happens to be a giant of a man. And could probably handle 30 lbs of baby without even breaking a sweat.

Wish I had more pictures from here... we came a lot during the trip. Lots for the kids to see and do. Like get Blue Bell ice cream. Yum. (Can you see the top of Addy's boots? They were to die for...)
