Snow

When I told Aimee that there would be snow at Nanny's house she was ELATED. But then worried, "Am I going to miss Christmas?!" I guess when you are four, snow = Christmas. We cleared that up and enjoyed the white stuff. There was plenty of it this trip.

And little Aimee is a total snow bunny. She LOVED it. Played outside in it for hours. I think I was good for about 30 minutes. 

She loved hunting for "crystals" (chunks of ice) with her cousins. And playing snow lions. And sledding.

In a nutshell

I have two busy months of blogging to catch up on! Better late than never...

Let me start by saying 2012 was a crazy and great year. Most notable would probably be adding Miss Bridget to our family. In close second was finding out what our plans would be after graduation. Greg interned in Austin for the summer... we had hoped a job would come out of it, but no such luck. We started Greg's last year of school a bit disappointed to say the least. Shortly after we were told Austin was a "no" Greg interviewed with a firm here in Dallas and was offered a job! Oh what a happy day that was! It reminds me of this scripture:

Alma 36:21

Yea, I say unto you, my son, that there could be nothing so exquisite and so bitter as were my pains. Yea, and again I say unto you, my son, that on the other hand, there can be nothing so exquisite and sweet as was my joy.

Ok, that's a little dramatic, but seriously - we are so very very grateful. Not only to Heavenly Father for this huge blessing, but to our families. When we told them our good news, one of my sisters in law said something like, "We were praying so hard for Greg!" I was so touched by this, that they were praying for that, specifically. I love them!

We wrapped up the year with a trip to Utah for Christmas. It was the first time we've all been together on Greg's side of the family since Ryan left for his mission. When Ryan left I was pregnant with Jack and had another baby for him to meet when he got home. Haha. It was great being around the entire family. The kids had a blast! I don't remember too many fights... it helps that half the vacation was before Christmas so there was a lot of "Santa is watching you!" threats. Greg's parents really outdid themselves this year. We did so much fun stuff! 

2013 was off to a bit of a rough start (Bridget was hospitalized for 6 days - more on that later) but we are looking forward to so many great things! Like GRADUATION!! HALLELUJAH! Greg's brother got engaged so we have a wedding to go to in June... hopefully another trip to Florida and Utah.... We get to move... Aimee will start Kindergarten... I'm so excited to see it all unfold. 2013 is going to be great!

But I am getting ahead of myself...  

The next couple of posts will be highlights of the trip. I don't have access to the laptop much these days so blogging rarely happens...  hopefully I will get it all done before another month goes by.
