More Summer Fun

While I have some time... here are some pictures from the last few weeks.

Jack's lovely curls...

Pop-pop and Jack man

Story behind these. It was Saturday morning - no one had even had breakfast yet. Drew threw Liz in the pool. Aimee thought thought that seemed fun so she joined in too. There are some pictures of Drew playing his favorite game: throw the dog in the pool. No worries everyone. Abby loved it.

The boy and his dog.

Zoo trip! The zoo was having a killer $5.00 admissions deal, plus some live music. The zoo keepers had a lot of animals out for people to pet. Aimee was a little nervous about the snake. I don't think Jack even noticed it.

Part of the fam. Greg doing ... I don't know what.

Me and the baby. He needed a diaper change as soon as we got there (of course!)

My lovely family. Never mind that creepy guy in the background. Or Aimee's expression... maybe this picture isn't as lovely as I thought.

The little man.

Feeding the fish saltine crackers. Don't tell the zookeepers.

Laughing at the monkeys.

Dipin' Dots!!

Some more pictures out of chronological order!! I think the above picture was from back in May or early June...

Some randoms of the kids. Aimee accessorized her outfit all by herself. She was quite pleased and was doing twist-turning jumps.

Posing for the camera.

Jack being sad because I am not holding him.

Oh! Aimee's first official hair cut! I think for most kids this will happen around 1. Aimee just turned 3. Her hair grows soooo slow! Our wonderful stylist, Jessica - just trimmed up the back and evened it out a bit.

Greg reading to the babies. :)

Flash forward to the 4th of July. Pool day and BBQ! Everyone joined in. Jack is so cute in the water. He loves it!

We put a surfboard in the pool. It's pretty fun, you should try it! Elizabetta (family friend's niece from Italy) and I are helping Aimee out.

The little man sporting his red, white, and blue.

Here is how the 4th went for us: The city of Cocoa was having a fireworks show and an orchestra. We had to park a mile away and walk to the park. Which was PACKED. It was sweltering hot too. We plowed through the crowds and found a spot to camp out and wait for the fireworks. From where we were sitting we couldn't hear the music, like at all. But once the fireworks started - we were happily surprised to find that we had the best seats!! The fireworks were right over us!! It was great.
I was a little worried about how Jack would react to the show. He was getting tired and fussy before they started anyway. Then the first firework went off. The expression on his face was a mix of sheer terror and amazement. He couldn't decide if he was going to cry. (It was SO funny) He never cried. He just huddled real close. I didn't mind so much. Aimee was a champ. She was a tiny bit scared at first, but then enjoyed the show, shouting out each color she saw -  after every single firework.
Afterwards, our parking spot a mile away ended up being a great thing! We walked past tons of cars just sitting in the traffic. All in a all - a successful 4th!

Us. And the firetruck...

Mom, Dad, the babies. Aimee was pretty much determined not to smile for a single picture.

Whitney and the babies.

Yesterday was beach day!! Me, mom, the kiddos, my soon-to-be sister in law, and some of my mom's friends made it to the beach. It was really fun. And exhausting... The beach on this side of Florida is SO much different than by our house. It reminds me a lot more of California. The waves are rougher, the water a little colder... But it was still a good time!!

Mom and Jack.

Jack eating sand. Why do they do this? I will never understand...

Jack looking at the camera, but I'm yelling for Aimee to come over to take a picture...

When she finally comes over, the water snuck up on us a little bit and she was nearly knocked over.

Yay for beach day!!

Pictures from the Utah Trip

As promised! Pictures from the Utah trip. They are totally out of order but at least they're here!

We had a little birthday party for Aimee. Addison was the BEST birthday guest! I really think she was more excited about the party than Aimee was. Seriously!

Every time Aimee opened a present Addison would joyfully announce (err... shout) the item! I loved it!!

This may have been Aimee's favorite present. The Rapunzel hair! She felt oh-so beautiful with that hair!

Addi tried it too! Sooooo lovely.

Lots of primping... It was hilarious. But don't tell Aimee that. This was serious business.

Ok, so now we're going backwards. This was before the party. Oh Addison! We love you!

I love these pictures of the girls!

The kind of pictures you show at their high school graduation party... (because by then, of course - we will be neighbors and they will go to the same school)

Laura kept asking the girls to strike a pose.

They are SO dang silly!!

Playing some basketball. Also, the girls would run back and forth through the grass shouting, "Best Day Eeeverrrr!!!" (Courtesy of Tangled)

Jack and Poppy :)

Aimee, thoroughly enjoying her smore.

I think this was the only night that it didn't pour rain on us! So - we had to do s'mores!

Cute little rag-a-muffins

The girls gave finger-painting a try. Lots of messy fun.

Nanny reading to the girls.

Joyfully reunited!

Poppy and Kourtney

Nanny and Jack

Jack cheesing it up for the camera!! This is one of those pictures you embarass your child with later in life...

PS - The next post will probably happen once the blog is private. SO if you haven't requested, you better get on it!

Going Igcognito!

Well, we're going private anyway. *Sigh* It was bound to happen. It's too bad since I enjoy "blog hopping" to other people's blogs... The change will be effective in another week. There are just too many sick-os out there.

SO! If you'd like to check in on us once in a while (and I hope my friends out there do) send me an email and I'll send you an invite!

Thanks everyone!

Finally updated!

I can no longer ignore the guilty feeling of not blogging for so long! It is high time.

Plus it helps when your sister calls you and says that she keeps checking my blog, hoping that I will have new pictures of the kids. Sorry Steph!

So first of all let's start with a very broad summary of the last few months:

- Greg finished his first year of law school. Hooray!
- He also started his internship. Hooray! (oh wait... now I don't have a car every day)
- Utah Trip (end of May) and an early b-day celebration for Aimee
- Trip to my parents and a b-day celebration for Aimee

So first things first:
Right after Greg finished his first year and before starting his internship, we flew out to Utah for a quick visit. It was so nice to see so many family members. I wish everyone could have been there. Aimee got to catch up with her cousin Addison. Those were some good times for those girls!! They were so funny together! I was so happy that they played together as well as they did. Sadly, I don't have a lot of pictures from that trip. Mostly because we took so many of them with Roxanne's ultra awesome camera. I downloaded a bunch to Costco before I left, I just need to order the cd.

Here's what I do have!

Reunited at last!!

Yeah... I can't flip this picture around for some reason. The original file is right side up. It's too bad too - I love this one. But it makes me a little sad too. They look so old! Like all of a sudden they aren't toddlers. They're little girls now...

While in Provo we frequented the Provo Beach Resort in the Riverwoods. If you haven't been - go! It's really fun. There are arcade games, bowling, flow rider, food court, a merry-go-round, play grounds, ropes course... and more! Anyway, Greg and I did the "ropes course" As you can kind of tell from the pictures above and below - you are harnessed to this rope above your head and there is a "course" you can walk around - HIGH above the entire activity center. We really should have taken some pictures from the ground looking up. These don't do it justice. I realize now that I am a bit scared of heights. I knew I was totally safe, but I went across every obstacle SO slow, my heart pounding the entire time. There were a few courses that were nothing more than a tight-rope to walk across and a few ropes hanging sporadically across the top... then some mini platforms with barely enough room for both of your feet at the same time that you almost had to leap across (think Mario Bros)! I came away from this with a new found appreciation for agility of circus performers.

Kourtney and Jack kickin' it at the playground. Jack looks a bit terrified. Don't worry, he liked Kourtney. I think he was just awe-struck with her mad crawling and climbing skills.

Aimee could ride the merry-go-round ALL day if we let her.

When in Utah, eat at Magleby's! We got breakfast there one day. And it was worth every calorie!

Nevermind Greg's homeless man beard. It kept him warm.

Nanny and the girls!

More Magleby's goodness.

Ok, there you have it! Lots more Utah pics to upload. Plus Aimee's birthday bashes. I'm sure I'll be a little out of order the next couple of posts - check back soon!
