Nanny and Poppy Came to Town

Greg's parents came to visit us last week! We were oh-so excited. They got to meet Baby Bridget, see the sights (aka - NorthPark Mall), go to a waaay too crowded SMU tailgate party, and spoil the kiddos!

Poppy chatting with Bridget. She is quite the little gabber these days.

Aimee and Jack with Poppy. I promise we brush Jacks hair, in case you were wondering.

I took lots of pics of the kids with Nan and Pop, hoping for one where everyone is looking at the camera and everyone is smiling.
Got a few and some were so funny, I couldn't decide... so you get to look at all of them.

I think Aimee looks very "Brassfield" in this picture... must be the smile and the ears.

We took these after church. We blessed Bridget, only I have no blessing outfit pics to show for it. She was spitting up and I didn't want to risk the dress getting totally wrecked so I changed her while we were still at church. I tried to take some pics later that day but she was NOT having it! I'll have to stage some later before she gets too big.

HI JACK!

LOVE Nanny and Jack in this one!

 And now our turn...

Poor Bridget...

And a few more while the fam was in town. We spent a bit of time at Greg's aunt and uncle's in Coppell. Why I didn't take any pics with them? Or Greg's cousin and her fam? I don't know! I'm so lame. And seriously thinking with like 1/4 of my brain these days.

Jack is Greg's little buddy.

How about a nap on Nanny?

We are so glad that they could come! Can't wait to see them again at Christmas.

Aimee's Mini Me OR Jack Jr?

Bah! I'm so behind where I want to be - blogging, to-do list... everything! BUT, I had to get these pictures posted. I go back and forth, trying to decide who Bridget looks like. More like Jack or more like Aimee? Unfortunately since the Mac bit the dust, I don't have access to very many digital pics of Aimee at Bridget's age right now. I do have a few of Jack that I pulled from this blog. Take a look for yourself and decide... I see a LOT of Jack, but more of Aimee's eyes?

Jack at around 6-8 weeks
Bridget at 5 weeks

A side by side comparison...

And just because it's cute...

This is expression that is most seen on this little baby's face these days.

What do you think?

"Spi-Man!" Birthday Extravaganza!!

On August 10th, my little man turned 2!
So Jack has developed an obsession with Spider Man.
(I have no idea where that came from.)
BUT, it made his birthday SUPER easy this year! And these days - I am all about EASY.
We just had a little party for him at home. I considered inviting some of his nursery besties over, but with Bridget less than 2 weeks old at the time, I thought better of it.
Easy-Peasy!

Jack's Spi-tastic cake:

(Note the blue paper taped to the wall, courtesy of Aimee - she was thrilled to help decorate)

Jumbo Pillow Spiderman! When Jack opened it he gave it a hug and said, "Oh... Love you Spi-Man!"

In addition to more Spiderman gear and toys, Jack got some pirate stuff. He is also a little obsessed with Peter Pan.

Enjoying the (nasty) store bought cake!

Spi-Man!! (He even has a mask)

Fighting Spi-Man

Showing off his Spi-Man moves

Playing with his guys.

Halloween should be easy this year too! :)

Happy Birthday Little Man!

Funny tidbit: Jack totes his Spi-Man guys everywhere! Heading out the door? Jack has to grab his guys first. All of them.
It kind of makes me crazy... mostly because I'm afraid he will lose them (we've already lost and replaced two).
He also has to sleep with them during naps and at night ... In the morning I find him on top of them and I can't imagine that's very comfortable.
Silly boy.

Photoshoot

More pictures!!
My friend Kara is a photographer (http://claytonandkara.blogspot.com/) and she came over to do a photo shoot of Bridget and the big kids. Unfortunately the stars never aligned in getting a picture with all three of them cooperating. BUT the pictures that Kara did get are amazing! I am seriously in love with these pictures!

Temporarily happy after a quick nursing-break

Heeeello bright eyes

Thank you Kara :)
