Farm Country!

Last week Aimee and I met up with my friend Sarah and her son Brant to play at Farm Country at Thanksgiving Point. Those kids LOVED it! They ran around like crazy the whole time! There were lots of animals to look at and get close to. Aimee was a little apprehensive around some of the animals, but Brant was quite brave. Totally worth the $3.00 to get in and tire the babies out!

15 Months Already!

I know, I know - it's been a long time since I've posted anything. Sorry Laura, no new videos either. We've been really busy this month. My brother came down and visited for a few days, Greg's parents plus brothers were here too. I don't think about things though - and didn't take any pictures with them here. Next time!

Aimee had her 15 month check up last Friday. She has slowed waaaaay down on the growth chart, when she was a tiny baby she was always in the 80th percentile and up for height. 30's for weight. NOW she is in the 11th% for weight and 37th for height. Maybe she's going to be runty like her dad was. Not that I was a big kid, but he was a midget until he was a Junior in High School.

She had to get a few shots, plus the flu shot - a few days later she got a fever and has been crabby ever since! I think she might be teething. SPEAKING of teething - she FINALLY has her two front teeth in! The little teeth right next to those and some top molars came in too. Still only the two front teeth on the bottom, but that's ok. I have yet to really capture those teeth on film, but they are so cute!

There are more pics to post from my crappy camera, but I haven't got around to uploading them (that, and a million other things I need to do).  Here are some random pictures I took when she woke up one morning, extra spazzy. She had some great bed-head going on.

Oh, how I love my little goofy baby!

Millions of Peaches

I am bloggy-mc-bloggerson today! But I know our families appreciate the pics and videos - especially since so many of them are far away! (My dad especially!) So a few years ago Greg planted some peach pits along the side wall of the yard. One took and behold! This year we have probably 200+ peaches on the tree! (Last year we only had like 15)
I actually had no idea that Greg did this. I just noticed the tree last year and wondered where it came from... silly me.
Anyway! I read online somewhere that you don't wait until the peaches are soft before you pick them. Some of them are just starting to get soft, so we picked about 100 of them this evening. And I bought peaches at Costco today. Go figure.

I have been soliciting help and advice on making homemade jam (thank you Jessica!). I might give it a shot tomorrow.

Here are the (ahem) fruits of our labors. Aimee totally went to town and ate a whole peach fresh off the tree! Talk about 100% organic - we never sprayed the tree, so hopefully she didn't eat too many worms.

(In the last picture I tried the night setting on my camera, the light is better - more true to life, but is blurry, I still need to figure out how to use it)

Poindexter

More Jibber Jabber

This is another semi-lengthy one. Really, it's the first minute of it that is entertaining. Aimee will yammer away at her toys and as soon as I grab the camera she stops. We did get a few good moments though - as well as some of her new word tricks.

At the Park

I took Aimee to the park the other day to kill some time.

Leaky hose = hours of entertainment (well maybe not hours, but certainly a good half hour)

Nuggle cuddle!

I put some of these up on facebook, but not the blog. They are silly more than anything. I was trying to get a picture of Aimee and I (with her looking at the camera) because she had such a mess of food on her face. Well, we both are a bit of a mess - we had just got back from the pool. Hence the messy hair/no make up look. But instead of looking at the camera, Aimee decided to "nuggle-cuddle" my face. I think it is SO cute when she does it!! Sometimes she will be in a super sweet mood and will keep hugging and kissing my face. It is the best!
