Kissing Cousins and Company

This is going to be a monster of a blog... so much has been going on! This month we've had a lot of company, and will have some more before the month is out. Let's begin:

Greg's cousin, Linnae had her baby blessed on Easter Sunday (she would be the one in white). Here are all the cousin's kids. Kirsi, Drew, Aimee, Clark, and Ty.

Aimee kissing Ty. She LOVES to kiss the babies! I think it's because we encourage her to kiss her baby doll... or more likely, she thinks she is biting them.

A nicer kiss for Kirsi. Ty looks concerned.

Day-Before-Easter Morning. Aimee holding Svet Lana (yes, that is her baby's name) - and making some weird face. I love her random faces!

Grumpy face! Apparently not a huge fan of the Easter Egg hunt.

Ok - so someone please tell me that they hate how small the posting screen is and how it's really hard to move pictures around once you upload them. Maybe I am doing them wrong... These are totally backwards, but here is Aimee with her cousin's Neal and Amelia at the dinosaur museum.

More dinosaur museum...

Crammed in the car. It is becoming more and more apparent to me that I (sadly) need a minivan.

Aimee and Neal enjoyed kissing each other.

So Aimee's friend from England, miss Nora Jane came to visit too! Her dad is going to school there and he had a little break, so they came back to Utah to visit their fams - and us too! (Thanks for coming to play Hilary!)

It was pretty much impossible to get a picture of the two girls looking at the camera at the same time!

The toys were more fun than the camera! They were both SUPER busy the whole time!

Ok, so I think that sums up about half of the month. Like I said before, we still have more company coming (tonight, actually) and more to updates to write about. Aimee is getting busier and busier everyday. I love how fascinated she is by every little thing. For instance, cords for the window blinds and light switches. I have her turn the lights off and on as we go from room to room. She also really loves animals, including big dogs! She gets so excited to see them. She is also loving the warmer weather and walks outside. And swimming! We started baby "swim" lessons - she loves it! More updates on that later...

Time out for mommy

Ahh... the sound of silence! Everyone is gone running errands leaving me alone in a nice empty house, with a napping baby. Every single room in the house is an utter disaster, but that's ok. It's not going to be my problem for a few more minutes. We've had a busy week - Greg's sister Carinn and her family came into town and it's been super fun, if not super noisy. Greg's parents and his brother Ryan just got in last night, his cousin Cami has been visiting, and with Stephanie and Michael downstairs... it's been a full house.
Carinn's kids are just getting over being sick, and Aimee is just getting some form of whatever they had... including pink eye. I've had a few long nights in a row. But right now, well, now is good.
I am eating a huge salad - with way too much ranch, I am wasting plenty of time on Facebook and looking at other people's blogs, and enjoying every second of it.

I don't know why I thought this was so funny... oh wait!

What we love about Florida

A trip to the zoo with Auntie Whitney (Aimee started to get mad when we wouldn't let her touch the birds)

And Ana! (aka - Grandma, but don't call her that!)

The goats! (Aimee was truly fascinated)

Beach Day!

The sun!! And sun hats...

The sand!

Summer clothes!

Weird baby blue stroller built for midgets! (It was seriously short! - Thanks Airman's Attic)

First rides on the swing!

Books, kitties, and doggies

So I thought while I have a moment I'd write some updates. Mostly about Aimee, of course. Right now we (minus Greg) are in Florida, hanging out with my mom and sister. Hurray for warm weather!! Hurray for family too! I don't know what it is with me, but lately every time I go to California or here, I end up getting some sort of nasty sickness. So I have been fully enjoying myself, except for this cold/cough thing. It is frustrating though... Aimee JUST got over being sick and now (thanks to me) her nose is running again and she's starting to cough a little. Ugh!!

Despite feeling a little lowsy, we've been seeing the sites and taking advantage of the nice weather. We've gone shopping, hung out at the beach, went to the zoo, out to eat... all that good stuff.

My mom has two cats and a dog. Aimee is in animal heaven. She is absolutely fascinated with the dog (Abby). She has even started saying "doggy" or "oggy" when she sees her. When Abby gets excited, she barks and we yell at her to stop. Aimee started shaking her finger at Abby too, to scold her. It's hilarious!

In addition to sporatically saying doggy (by the way, many of the animals at the zoo were doggies or kitties). Aimee will kind of say kitty. It sounds more like "iddy" or "idda" - but it's close.

Aimee is also really into books. A few weeks ago she started turning the pages when we read to her. She LOVES books with animals or babies. I made her a little book too, with pictures of things we have around the house, including some of her favorite people. She could sit and look at those books for a long time. Sometimes she freaks out if I put them away. Well, she pretty much freaks out any time I take something away from her that she likes.

I will post pictures of our adventure in Florida soon!

Aimee Crawling!

Sick, sad baby

It's so hard to keep up with the blog. I am not sure why... Oh wait, I have a busy 9 month old baby. That's why. PLUS I've been trying to get a ton of things done before we go to Florida. (Hooray!)

Anyway, a good chunk of last week was spent taking care of a sick little baby. There were multiple trips to the doctor's office, 4 sleepless nights in a row, and the verdict was that she probably had a sinus infection. Either way, she's been on the Amoxicilin(sp?) for almost a week now and she seems to be loads better!!

Here is a picture of her though, when she wasn't feeling so good. Poor thing. It was so sad! And tiring... She even lost a pound over a month's time. We are working to fatten her up. She has really lost interest in baby food, which is ok with me. I'll stop buying it. She likes vanilla yogurt, bananas, grapes, and Cheerios for breakfast. String cheese is another favorite. Oh, and Macaroni Grill's pasta. This girl likes her carbs. Just like her mommy!
