3 Month Old Pics

Ok, so I took Aimee to get some more pictures done on the 18th, so just a week after she turned 3 months. 

Here she is doing her Dr. Evil impersonation.

Anyway, over all it was a pretty successful photo shoot. She only cried a little bit and was fairly cooperative. 

It really is crazy how fast they grow. She is getting to be more fun - but she also knows when we aren't giving her our complete and undivided attention. I think the days of me setting her in her bouncer seat to get things done around the house are quickly coming to an end. 

Project Runway: Baby Style

I don't know what the deal was yesterday, but I changed 4 poopie (or is it poopy?) diapers and Greg changed one too. This baby needs to keep it together. 

That's really not what I meant to write about. It's my new 15 minute interest: making a Halloween Costume for Aimee. I know virtually nothing about sewing. But I religiously watch Project Runway, and they make it look so easy, it must be easy... right? I was on the phone with my sister in law the other day and she was sending me to different online sites to see some super cute baby costumes. I absolutely fell in love with the tutu dresses created by sdemke on etsy.com.  But they are like, $70 - or more! That's just craziness. I also really like this pumpkin costume on gymboree.com. They are serving as my inspiration for a pumpkin princess-ish outfit. 

Now that I've started to buy some the materials, I will probably end up spending around $30. Which I think is a lot for something she will probably only wear for like 10 minutes. BUT - it could be used for countless hours of dress up time (with a little modifying) when she's a little older. If they had something like that when I was little, I totally would have LIVED in it! 

Anyway... shopping at the fabric store is like shopping in a foreign store in a foreign country, when you don't know the language. (Lame analogy, I know) The point is, I really had no idea what I needed - or how much of it. Thanks to Rebecca though, (Greg's cousin's wife) she can sew and is helping me with this. 

I am feeling determined to see this project through - and will post the end results. Wish me luck.

I'm ready for my close up

 Aimee hit her 3 month mark already. I know that most people say that the time goes by so fast, but it kind of feels like she's just always been a part of the family. She is however, getting cuter everyday - and her little personality is coming through. 

She does this thing when she's been away from me for a while, like if I pass her off to Greg (like I usually do before blogging). When he brings her back to me, I will smile real big at her and baby talk - she then smiles shyly back and looks away real fast burrowing into Greg's chest, then peeks back out again to make sure I'm still there. It's so sweet! 

Aimee also has a "tell" - like when she's getting tired. She has recently started to put her right hand up by her ear, and will tug at it or put her hand up behind her ear and tug at her head. 

She's my favorite when she first wakes up in the morning. She seriously stretches for 10 - 15 minutes (sometimes longer) trying to wake up. When she finally does wake up, she's super fun. 

Well, I hear her coming with Greg up the stairs. She probably needs some mommy time.

Roomie Reunion 2008! I totally forgot I had these pictures. Well, here they are in all their glory. Thanks to Pam for making it happen for reals- you are the best! We had this little shin-dig in August while in California. Crystal, I know you guys would have been there if you hadn't moved already! I feel like I should photoshop you guys in the picture or something...

So we got Mike, Pam, Jones, Bethany, Robert, (back row) Gage, baby Mason, Amy, Me (Bayba to college crew) Greg, and baby Aimee.

(Apparently only the front row got the memo that we were supposed to make spazzy faces - I think Mike wins.) 

Next reunion I expect to see more babies!

Why I hate WalMart and other annoying things

It was just one of those days... you know? I ventured to WalMart, which I don't ever like to do, especially with a baby. Why is that the WEIRDEST people gather at WalMart? And it's always packed. ALWAYS. 

I always end up grabbing the cart with the broken or very loud wheel and get stuck behind people driving those little motorized carts rrrreally slow. I did manage to make it inside without getting solicited or hit by a car, so that was a plus, but things went downhill quickly from there. All I wanted to get were some "D" batteries. That's it. I go to the battery section and there is an entire shelf space dedicated to D batteries, but not ONE pack is to be found! I was so mad! They had like 50 of every other battery size, and all these obscure battery sizes, but no D's. 

I was fully annoyed the rest of the trip. And thought about lots of other things that annoyed me. (I know that this was just making it worse, but I couldn't help it) 

Not that anyone else really wants to know, but I felt like sharing my pet peeves in today's blog (in no particular order). 

1. Squeaky/broken shopping cart wheels

2. People that forget their blinker is on after they change lanes

3. Lifted trucks with flames painted on the sides

4. Pictures/photos are squished or stretched to fit the desired space (sorry Greg)

5. Skanky girls that dress skanky

6. Tigger (yeah, everyone else seems to like him, I really can't stand him - why can't he leave poor Rabbit's crops alone???)

7. Country music

8. The Illusionist (laaaaame movie that lots of other people liked! WHY??)

9. Word clip art

10. Christmas music/movies outside of the Christmas Season (let's keep it within November - early January months, ok?) Also - when people leave Christmas lights up well into February.

There... I better go and write something more positive tomorrow!

Angel Game

Emily said I could blog about the sports events. We took Aimee to her first Angels game. We went with the Whitaker family and Ryan. The weather was really nice and clear, but the Angels lost. It was fun though because we got to see a couple of home runs in our seating section (center field). A couple of funny things that happened: 1. A lady came from a section away to ask us how old Aimee was and to tell us how cute she is. 2. There was a large group of small children in the row directly in front of us. They all gathered around and stared at Aimee and she did her jitter critter tricks for them. They loved it. 3. There was an Anna Nicole Smith look alike a few rows in front of us. She wasn't wearing enough cover and her voice was a smokers baratone which she shared with everybody after a few beers. Aimee was very good the entire time so I think she is an American League girl.

2. She isn't quite laughing, but she does this gasp/squeal thing when she smiles.

6. She likes to play "Ninja Baby" - Greg picks her up, and makes it look like she's running up the walls, around the furniture, and flying through the air.
